Well, the first day is complete. We left Lenoir City at 9:00 this morning and decided to change our route due to the tornadoes and bad weather in Oklahoma last night. Instead of taking I-40 through Oklahoma we decided to take I-30 out of Little Rock into Dallas then turn north. We ended up riding about 200 miles in the rain then about 50 miles from Little Rock we hit construction and it was bumper to bumper for 20 miles so the light drizzle was a welcome surprise.
We are hoping that we have gotten two road hazards out of the way now! RAIN AND CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC! We usually run into each of those at least once on a trip, so we are thinking that we won't have any more of it our whole trip! Oh, and for those that know the story behind it, Pam forgot to sing, "You are My Sunshine!" :-)
